Thomas Jeffrey Hanks is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his various comedic and dramatic film roles, including Splash, Big, Turner & Hooch, A League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Cast Away, Catch Me if You Can, and The Da Vinci Code, as well as for his voice work in the animated films The Polar Express and the Toy Story series.
